Guest areas have been carefully positioned to maximise the sweeping channel views. A well-stocked safari shop completes the camp.

Jacks Camp

Located on the edge of the vast and desolate Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in Botswana, is an oasis of style and comfort, Jack’s Camp. Named after the legendary Jack Bousfield, this extra-ordinary tented camp lies in a palm grove with spectacular vistas over one of the harshest landscapes of the African continent.

Persian rugs underfoot, high four poster beds, cool cotton sheets and mahogany and brass campaign-style furniture form a striking contrast with the rugged wilderness viewed from the comfort of one’s own veranda. Tents are strung out along the palm line with sandy walk ways leading to the camp’s hub. A romantic green canvas pavilion houses a drinks tent, library tent as well as a museum with a collection of fascinating local artefacts and an elegantly appointed communal dining table is where everyone meets for meals. Other facilities include a pavilion swimming pool, decadent tea tent and a shop tent.
Regular activities from Jack’s Camp include magic encounters with the friendly Meerkats, informative Bushman interactions, visits to Chapman’s Baobab, expert guiding of the unique desert wildlife and star gazing. In addition to these regular activities, the wet season ushers in the spectacular sight of the annual zebra and wildebeest migration, and the dry season allows guests the opportunity to explore the vast Makgadikgadi saltpans on quad bikes.
